模拟考试命题以泰州市2005年中考试卷以及泰州市中考命题说明为依据,以新课程标准为依据,注重考查学生的基础知识和基本技能,注意了基础知识的覆盖面,突出了对重点知识的考查,加大了听、读、写的要求,侧重对学生综合语言运用能力的考查。体现了当前及今后英语教学改革的方向,有利于新课改的推进,有利于对学生创新精神和实践能力的培养。具体体现在以下几个方面:

试卷根据“稳中求发展”的指导思想和“突出语篇,强化话题,注重交际”的命题原则,较好地贯彻了“测试语言不出偏题怪题,加强语言运用和交际能力”,的设计原则,符合中考命题要求“三个有利于”的精神,对英语教学改革起到较好的导向作用。

试卷总体感觉难度比较适中,无论从知识内容到设计试题的理念上都较好地体现《新大纲》的要求,突出语言的实际运用,语境化和试题功能的综合化,难题没有脱离学生现有的知识程度,而是以能力考查作为区分度。试题"稳中求新、求活",活而不偏不怪,对初中教学具有很好的导向作用。体现初中英语课程改革、中考改革的新思想,英语教育的新理念,贯彻了《新课标》的精神。学生们反映也比较平静,中等水平的学生考110分左右应该没什么问题。

语言知识运用部分主要考察了如冠词、代词、连词、情态动词、动词及其搭配、宾语从句和一些惯用法的语法项目和必须掌握的基础知识,知识覆盖面较广,基础性较强,突出了基本知识,基本技能语境化相结合的特点,注重语言运用的交际性。

二、试卷的评析

(一)试卷结构比较合理

英语试卷分卷一和卷二两部分,卷一是选择题,为90分,卷二是非选择题,为50分,整卷为140分。考试时间100分钟。试卷的题量较往年有所增加,试卷的分布较为合理,试卷有较大调整和发展(如听力、任务型阅读、完型填空、阅读理解、书面表达),在分值、题型、难度、标准等方面更趋于合理。

(二)难度比较适中

1、试卷在考查学生基础知识和基本技能的同时,加强对学生学习能力,语篇领悟能力,思维能力特别是开放性思维能力的考查。能力考核情况见下表:

1、突出语言基础知识在语境中的运用,注重语言运用的交际性原则,不出怪题偏题。

语言知识是语言整体素质的有机组成部分,是发展语言技能的基础。本卷坚持不出怪题偏题,绝大多数试题都有教明显的语境设置。

本卷注重语言运用的交际性。它的测试形式主要有信息传递和信息交流。信息传递是指交际的一方向另一方传递信息,彼此间不需要回应(如阅读文章等)。信息交流是指交际的双方在存在信息差的前提下交换信息,彼此回应对方以获取信息。

2、把考生对语篇的领悟能力作为测试的重点和基本点。

本卷测试语篇能力的题目比重较大。如听力题、阅读理解题、完形填空等。听力题主要涉及语篇层次上的信息,表现在:听长对话回答问题,都是在一定的语言真实情景基础上展开,均选择与中学生年龄相吻合的话题,注重了对考生在语境中运用语言能力的考查。如考生解题时,不仅要听词、句的字面意义,而且要迅速捕捉有关语篇的信息。

完形填空和阅读理解内容新活、适合学生心理和年龄特征,贴近生活实际、信息量大但难度不大,主要从基本知识入手考察学生的语言能力、应用能力和学生的基础知识,在大的文化背景下体现出时代新思想。完形填空突出考查学生对上下文语境、内容、意义的理解,在上述理解的前提下,涉及了形容词、名词、动词、连词等8大词类及其相关知识的正确运用,是兼知识及能力为立意的题型,对考生要求较高。阅读理解主要考查学生的综合理解、分析归纳、词义推断等
